In one of the only truly profound things Steinbeck ever said, he said that, despite the bombs that fall on humanity as they move forward, we should pray for those bombs and trials. The second they are silent it means humanity has given up. Keep moving forward, no matter what! Kudos to you! :DLiesel K. I read an obituary for an old high school friend who died a while back, and it said something along the lines of, "And he spent so much time doing what he loved best, arguing and debate." It was a fancy way of saying he was a jerk, which he was. Even his own family printed that.A Beer for the Showerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17029139745335325356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-381261963391055840.post-83278329189275115742012-06-03T14:19:08.326-07:002012-06-03T14:19:08.326-07:00You make me smile, Barb. Everyday teaches a lesson - of humility, or strength, or patience, or just plain that we are alive and happy to be feeling something.

I'm glad you are surrounded by books. My father always looked to The Good Book for all his answers too. He was a patient, calm man, and I know he drew his fortitude from prayer and reading his Bible.

I hope you find the same solace there.

........dholedolorahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08715849844092553699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-381261963391055840.post-77456130361058789012012-06-02T08:49:01.757-07:002012-06-02T08:49:01.757-07:00The Book is where I find all the answers.
