I know I need to back away, but it's hard.

Elemm, REK and Stephen: Thanks for stopping by and nice to meet you. I may need to 'take a hike'. The consensus seems to be back off and take it easy. Been trying that and I'll keep it up. It's a hard job but somebody's got to do it.
Right?

Donna:Thanks for stopping by and browsing. You had to dig deep to find that"boot up" comment. I like that. I tend to do the same. Get to know a blog. You are absolutely right about how things work out. Not always the way we want them to, but the way they are supposed to.farawayeyeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17578277501054242356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-381261963391055840.post-62154474117366633272011-12-08T06:00:28.169-08:002011-12-08T06:00:28.169-08:00I've had those let downs and sometimes you jus...I've had those let downs and sometimes you just have to go with it and take a break. Do some blogging instead and visit new people. That's what I do. I take four to six weeks off of writing a year. Got to. When I’m concentrating I tune everything out, then slowly let it all drop back in when I get my thoughts down - or just need a break.

Perhaps you just need a break after all that intensity. I’m sure the ideas will start to flow when you’re not putting so much pressure on yourself to keep going. Congratulations on finishing NaNo; and early to boot. (Yeah, I still use the phrase “boot up” too. Comes from living with a computer nerd. Either that or I‘m just that old . .)

Hang in there Faraway; things usually work out the way they should. Almost dived into that water. Lovely.

As to the recovery after an intense writing session, I take a hike. I'm a bit of a hiking nut, but it's one thing that brings me to center and back to where the good words are. Good luck and thanks for the visit to the Write Game.
