Interest on Pintrest

Last week I was working hard on revisions when I needed a break so I headed over to my new black hole of wasting time - PINTREST. There I found this.

Needless to say it made me more than a little sad, but not one to be fooled with and still not wanting to get back to work, I did a little research and found it all to be true. I also found an article about how Al and his buddies did a whole lot of campaigning for their lies to win the prize. You can read that HERE

To learn more about Irena read about the The Irena Sendler Project - Life in a Jar. Not only did this woman save 2500 children from the Nazi camps, but she kept track of their names and worked to reunite them with their families after the war.

Wondering just how something like this happens, I mean, how does a group who are supposedly so influential and impartial at the Nobel Committee overlook the valor and dedication, not to mention courage and heart of a woman like this in favor of Al and his lies about Global Warming. BUT then I was reminded of who these guys awarded the prize to in 2009. Are you guys kidding me?

Oh well, my research led me to this news release article of April 4.2013. 'Nobel Committee Asks Obama 'nicely' to return Peace Prize' Before you get too excited be sure to read the title banner in full.

Yeah, I knew it was too good to be true! One can only laugh and hope.

Incidentally, I also found that Adolph Hitler was nominated for the Peace Prize in 1939, BUT he did not win.

  1. Heartbreaking that she had to do it, but it's amazing that her story hasn't been told. No one has written a big book or made a movie about what she did?

    Such a hero.

  2. I saw this circulating the web as well and wondered if it was true. Also, I can't believe that Al Gore won over her. Such a travesty.

  3. Thanks for pointing out this woman. I would never have known about her without visiting your blog today. As for the Peace prize, it is always the most "political" of any of the "Nobels." Now this is just my opinion, but I think the "peace prize" doesn't always go to who deserves it. It goes to a person that serves an agenda that someone on the committee (or a group) wants to promote. That's how it has always been, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. To think otherwise is just naive.

  4. I heard of Irena once. I got an email telling about her story and there was a picture of her and the kids (now adults) she saved. It was an amazing story! Even more amazing the fact that Nobel was awarded to Gore. Pity how even those respected prizes are given sometimes out of convenience rather than merit. Oh well...bravo for her anyway.

  5. Jay - It is kind of surprising isn't it. Whit all the carp people write about and make movies of, nobody has picked up on a story like this.

B & B - I too, often read something like this and wonder; 'can that really be true?" This time I decided to check it out (I also need a little more procrastination time). I'm glad I did.

Michael - Unfortunately, I believe you are exactly right.

Al - It is a pity, but I guess if we look at it in another way, maybe it's better not to be in the company of some other NPP winners. I'm at least glad that someone is bringing her story to light NOW.

  6. If global warming is a lie then here's a list of a few of the liars:

    Scientific American
    National Geographic
    NPR
    Wikipedia
    NYT
    NRDC (National Resources Defense Council)

That said, Irena certainly deserved the award and probably should've been given it long before now.

  7. MS - your list not mine, But...

All that said, I'm not here to debate Global Warming. If you look carefully I said Al Gore was a liar, as in 'Al Gore and his lies. Some of his scientists have come clean and said that things in his book and movie were falsified.

  10. FARAWAYEYES ~

In my opinion, this is UNQUESTIONABLY the BEST BLOG BIT I've ever read at the 'Far Away Series' blog. (It did NOT show up on my Blogger Dashboard and I would have missed it entirely had you not mentioned it in today's Email.)

Not more than five minutes ago I read that information about Irena to my brother, Nappy, and he immediately said: "Well, if you win a Nobel Peace Prize, you can be sure you're a pretty shady character". And I agree with him entirely.

That article you linked to regarding the Nobel Peace Prize Committee pretty much said it all, including this:

    >> . . . There's blowing bin Laden away rather than putting him on trial.

Ha!-Ha! Yeah, like Obama had Osama killed. Only the most foolish believe that. Osama had been dead of natural causes for friggin' YEARS before Barack Oliar claimed to have had him assassinated for public relations purposes.

And then there's the comment submitted by one "MsHatch"...

If a person asked me to list the Top Ten B.S.ing propaganda organs in this country, five of the six she named would be on my list (i.e., Scientific American, National Geographic, NPR, Wikipedia, NYT). One can tell a lot about a person's mental conditioning (a.k.a. "brainwashing") just by knowing which sources he/she gets their news from.

FAE, you responded with this: "All that said, I'm not here to debate Global Warming."

Maybe you aren't, but I'm certainly willing to do it. I roll out the red carpet in invitation for MsHatch. She's hereby officially invited to debate me on my political blog ['Ferret-Faced Fascist Friends'] about "Global Warming" anytime and anywhere she chooses - just submit a comment on ANY post and let's get it on! (Don't forget to bring all that "evidence" trumpeted by the aforementioned brainwashing organs).

In closing, here's one of my favorite quotes related to so-called "Global Warming":

"For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?"

This was a great, Great, GREAT blog bit, FAE! Thanks for posting it.
