I'm Back and Trying to Be Better

Let's be honest here...
I figure it’s time to open the doors and windows around here and blow the stink outta the place. OK, it isn’t really that bad, but all the same, I really don’t want to give anyone the impression that I’m closed for good, I just needed a little time to regroup and collect myself (I was a little bit scattered all over the place, to say the least).

Anyhow, I’m back and I’m intending to stay here for quite some time. I do plan on posting a BATTLE OF THE BANDS ON February 1st and for many firsts and fifteenths to come. If you’re new to BATTLE OF THE BANDS (BOTB) come back on February 1 and check it out, or scroll back for a look-see. Please feel free to join the rest of us in this bi-monthly blog hop (if that’s the route you choose, please leave me a note and one on Mr. McCarrthy's Site so, you get added to the Primary List of participants).

If you didn’t know this before, I actually started this in an attempt to post something on my site when I had nothing else to say. Mr. Stephen T. McCarthy picked up on it and encouraged me to join with him and make it a bi-monthly endeavor. Others started to join in and…as they say…’the rest is history’. I do love music, but admit…

So, now tell me what you been up to since the first of the year? Can you believe that the first month of 2015 is already gone? Did you think I was closed down for good? Did ya miss me? Awe, I know you did, so many of you left kind comments and I want you to know I truly appreciated that!

  3. No, no!
Everybody knows that I started BATTLE OF THE BANDS and you just jumped on my bandwagon. (Get it? BANDwagon?)

OK, maybe it IS your horse.
But do you know I spent ALL MORNING trying to catch that animal? Huh?!

    >>... I'm Back and Trying to Be Better

    Better than what?

I think what you really meant to say was:

I'm BACH and trying to be better than MOZART.

Hey, good idea for a BOTB.
And aren't you the clever one to think of it?

    1. You know me; I like that saying that goes; ' Look in the mirror - there's your competition'.

Besides, Bach, better than Mozart? I don't think so.

In the future try some 'sugar'!

  4. Okay - you're back and you wanna be better? Just be you. That's who everyone seems to love. And some of newcomers to you blogs are wanting to read all about your adventures... besides BOTB.

Speaking of BOTB - thank you for the brain - storm idea, and hooking wagons with that McCarthy fella. He seems to know sumpin' 'bout music too.

So come February 1st... let's rock this blogworld. As Seger would say, "Turn the Page." :))

Hey, Jessica Rabbit had a mouthful of wisdom.(smile)

  5. I'm with Dixie. Anyone reading your posts is there for who you are, and who you are striving to be... and they know that sometimes you and we lose ourselves in our own shuffle.

  6. I'll admit that I was concerned about you. But since you were still leaving good comments I figured you'd be back. I'm glad you are. I'm always regrouping it seems.

My BOTB post for Sunday is all set and ready to post at 2 AM on Feb. 1st. I think it's a really good one with a song that everyone should know.

    1. Thanks Lee, I did appreciate your concern, along with everybody else.

As for my Feb 1st BOTB, I expect few will know the song and it may not be a very popular BOTB, could possible even be a shut-out. I'm trying something new and going for the obscure. It's a journey that has taken me full circle in my research for this one. I've enjoyed it. Now, no more clues. You'll just have to wait until the 1st.

Bring forth the best robe and put it on her! For the ProdiGal Eyes were Far Away and hath returned, were lost and are now found! Fatted calves beware! Yay!

I am actually in your neck of the woods today... sort of. I am in the largish city just over the border to your east to visit relatives. I'm very glad that you are yourself again, and am looking forward to your "blowout" BOTB you referred to!

    1. This means a lot to me, even if it is in English, this time.

Hope you visit was fun. You should make it up to the lake sometime.

  13. I was on the verge of sending you an email. I'm so glad that you're feeling more up to snuff. Me, on the other hand... I'm really struggling with all of the stuffs in my life. I have no idea what song I'll use for BOTB on the 1st and don't even feel motivated to cruise YouTube. I think this might be depression. Yikes.

I don't know if you're interested, but I'd love to do your numerology chart for you. For the record, it is based on SCIENCE. There are no "bad" numbers, but there is always the possibility of living on the negative side of one or more of your numbers. The good news is that if you find yourself identifying with one or more of those traits, you can now link it to the aspect of your life where you're having issues. I think it makes easier to make a positive adjustment if you have an idea of the "why" you're struggling in the first place. Just email me if you're interested.

If you're wondering about the good/bad of the whole thing, ask StMc about it. I did his chart for him and he was fairly impressed with how true it turned out to be. I don't know if it helped him, but I knew from putting it together how important being in a good work situation was for him (specifically) because of the number 4 in his chart (I think he blogged about this, so I'm not revealing anything he didn't already reveal), and how critical it is to his peace of mind to make that job thing good.

Heck, I should probably read my own since I, too, am struggling. Anyway, the offer is open any time. I love doing it and I won't mention anything in your chart (unless you put it on this blog for everyone to read:).

Glad you're better. See you on the 1st!

    1. Thanks for the good thoughts.

I sincerely hope you're not fighting depression. It's a terrible thing, but I know first hand that when you have health issues, especially those than entail chronic pain, depression is often an unwelcome companion.

Thanks for the offer on the numerology. I'll have to think about that. I'm intensely private (to a fault), so I really tend to cringe at THAT type of information being 'out there' about me. But, I will consider it and let you know.

Truth be told, I believe we're all struggling in one way or another. some are able to talk freely about it (probably a good thing) others not so much. I guess it's important to try to be understanding a lend a hand where ever we can. Me, I'm generally pretty good at lending a hand (although a bit blunt at times), but I DO have a hard time asking for and taking that hand when offered.

In the end, know that I DO appreciate the good thoughts.
