MOVING DAY!

No BATTLE OF THE BANDS here today. You can just move along and get on with your business, but if you want to know how things are going…

For the past week or so, things around here have looked a lot like this…

And this…

I’ve kind of looked like this;

Today while you’re trolling around an enjoying various BOTB selections, at my place it looks like this;

Or at least I hope it does.

Over the next week to ten days the process with reverse itself and my new place will probably look like this;

And this;

I hope all is back to organized chaos by May 1 and then I can get back to playing with you guys at BATTLE OF THE BANDS. And, I can look more like this;

I’ll do my best to get around to your spaces and vote, but it may take me awhile. I won’t have the Internet until after April 18th (I hope).

Have a good time. Enjoy BOTB and good luck with the A to Z Challenge. Today you’re only half way there. YIKES!

See you on May 1, I hope, and until that time HAPPY TRAILS.

  1. HAPPY MOVING DAY Fae!! I hope it goes smoothly and seamlessly!

    Your post cracked me up, especially you looking like the crazed Jack Nicholson!! Very funny.

    Best of luck to you. See you soon!

  2. I'm sorry you didn't take me up on my offer to help you move.

    Just think, we could have spent all day sweating together side-by-side. And maybe have even taken a break at some point to go for "a roll in the boxes". (I can get very creative with packing tape!)

    Oh, well. Maybe next year, when you move again.

    Guess I'll mosey on down to the U-Haul facility one block from my house, stroll through their "Moving Supplies" section and daydream of what might have been.

    Then I'll come home and take a cold shower. (Who needs a "gentleman's club" when they have U-Haul?)

  3. It's kind of ironic how I too almost skipped out on BOTB. I think for the month of April, next year, we all decide to pause it for the month.

    PS - Loved this entry. Very humorous, and true. I know what moving day is like all too well.

  5. Not a fan of moving so I don't envy you at all. Don't stress out or strain your muscles or anything. Hope you make it to my Battle as I've done one that I think you might like.

    See you next Battle!

  7. Don't go all crazy person at your sea. After 17 times I surely know moving is a pain. Good luck.

  8. And you've just nailed the reason I refuse to move. I don't want to look like a crazed Jack Nicholas! Good luck. And happy unpacking.

  9. Moving is such work. But it's great for clearing out the excess. Good luck, and take it slow, you'll love the organization when it's all said and done!

  13. Moving and I have a love-hate relationship. Hate packing, reorganizing, getting used to new floor plans, starting all over again. Love love new adventures, cleanliness, starting all over again.

    You've [probably moved as often as I have though, so we can relate together.

    Let me know your new address. I'm planning a Friday the 13th (of May) in Reno area and hoping you and Saint Mac will come play with me.

  14. Wow, you rented out a team of alligator movers? That must be so cool. I hope they don't eat all of your boxes, though.

    Good luck with your move!
