AS WE SAY GOODB YE TO 2017, I CAN’T SAY THAT I’M SORRY TO SEE THIS ONE GO. SEVERAL BIG CHANGES FOR ME AND NOT NECESSARILY THE HAPPIEST ONES. LOOKING TOWARDS A BETTER YEAR IN ‘18. HOW ABOUT YOU!

    Left the bar and fell in the parking lot
    Couldn't drive home, my car was dead
    Picking up my phone, I called Triple A
    And "Oh, Bloody hell!", I said.

    The Triple A lady said Max would come
    And I wouldn't need to wait long
    When it was half-past Very Long O'Clock
    I started writing this song

    Max never showed up; I started walking
    But I did not get very far
    I heard a siren and saw a red light
    Was shoved in a police car

    I was booked for Drunk And Disorderly
    Spent New Years Eve in a jail
    I vomited on a big inmate's shoes
    And then he kicked my tail

    I got released and they returned my phone
    I found a message there from Max
    He said Triple A charged me for service
    Fifty dollars plus the tax

    I found a bus stop and took number twelve
    It went South to the Shell station
    I got off there to buy me some Twinkies
    Couldn't because: inflation

    At the corner of Bored and Apathy
    An ugly girl pulled up for me
    I turned down her offer of a free ride
    'Cause she was really a he

    At home, I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair
    I made some rice and got a beer
    I can make this song go on forever
    If you really want to hear...

    ...Or just end it here with "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

    I can't say that 2017 was a bad year for me by any means even though there were a few sour notes along the way. Definitely hoping for a great year in 2018 for you, me, and all who deserve it.
