‘WHAT ARE WORDS?’
O is for OBFUSCATE {To confuse, bewilder, or stupefy. To make obscure or unclear. To darken}
Here’s another seventy-five cent-er. Using this one would be worth the wrath of your editor. You might even OBFUSCATE the editor enough to convince him that your work is genius. Or you might OBFUSCATE the meaning of your work and therefore hide your NEFARIOUS intentions. So, you see the real reason you are being duped into non-use of such great words. Total OBFUSCATION.
Thanks for all the well wishes. Still a little fuzzy. Fortunately, my posts have been written for awhile. It’s just a matter of pushing the right buttons. Unfortunately, I was too fuzzy yesterday to visit anyone else. Looking for a better day!

ReplyDeleteIf I used "obfuscate," I think I'd make my editor just plain laugh at me.
ReplyDeleteOh, and you and me both. I'm still reeling from the flu, but I will have to probably power through it today. Ugh.
I am reminded of a line that David Crosby speaks before the start of the song, "Almost Cut My Hair."
ReplyDelete"I will now proceed to entangle the entire area." A good definition for obfuscation.
Hope you're less fuzzy now.

ReplyDelete*gasp* Are we allowed to say that?
ReplyDeleteBetter yet, can you get your lips around it and pronounce it properly?
